Processing Payroll: Wire Transfer Pending Status
Payroll processing includes an approval step called Wire Transfer Pending (WT.PEND) to ensure that a client’s electronic funds have been successfully transferred before payroll checks can be processed.
Setting the Client to Wire Transfer
Use this procedure to set up the client to be use wire transfer.
Note: During payroll processing, you cannot bypass the payroll approval step if the client is set up for wire transfer. Instead, the system automatically sends the approval notification email after you calculate the payroll.

Make sure the correct client record is shown near the top of the page. If not, click on it and then select the correct client. |

Open Client Details (found in the Client menu under Client|Change). |
|
3.
|
Select the Billing tab, then locate the Electronic Billing panel. |
|
4.

Set the ACH Status to Wire Transfer Client. |
Processing the Wire Transfer
Once the client has been established as a Wire Transfer Client, and after the payroll calculation (and any other intervening steps that apply), the payroll enters Wire Transfer Pending status
.

The payroll remains in the Wire Transfer Pending status until a user indicates that your organization has received the funds.

Open Payments Pending (found in the Back Office menu under Operations|Action). |

Click the Payroll number. The entire row highlights. |
|
3.

Click Mark Received. The line clears from Payments Pending. |
|
4.
|
In SuperBatch, the status becomes Wire Transfer Received and Payroll Is Ready to Finalize. Users can continue to process the payroll. |
Note that if a user recalculates the payroll, the status resets. Return to step 1 of processing the wire transfer.
Resetting the Wire Transfer Status
Users can reset the payroll from Wire Transfer Pending to Payroll Pending Review (INIT.COMP) from Payroll Control.

If the payroll is currently in the Wire Transfer Pending status and needs to be reset to Payroll Review, open Payroll Control: |

From SuperBatch, click the options button for the payroll and select Payroll Control. |
|
•
|
From the Payroll menu, select Payroll Control (found under Payroll|Change) and then enter the Payroll Number. |

Click Reset Wire Transfer. |
|
3.
|
Click Yes in the message to confirm that you want to reset the payroll to Payroll Pending Review status. |

4.

When you are finished, click Save. |
