Defining a Custom Process
Custom processes allow your organization to define your own menu items with in PrismHR.
To access this form:
1. | Click Back Office. |
2. | From System|Change, select System Parameters. |
3. | From the Actions menu, select Custom Process. |
4. | Complete these fields as required. |
Item |
Description |
---|---|
Process ID | Enter a unique process ID. |
Name | Process name that displays in menu and search. |
Category | Menu where the custom process belongs. |
Sub-Category |
Indicates where the custom process belongs within the selected menu. If you select Other, you can enter a custom sub-category. |
Disabled | Suppresses the display of custom processes. |
Display in Menus | Displays the custom process in the menu to users who have access to it. |
Display in Search | Displays the custom process to users who have access to it and use the search field to find it. |
Disable Resizing |
Enable to prevent the custom process from adjusting its size based on the browser window. |
Role Specific | If the menu item is limited to a specific user role, select Service Provider or Worksite Manager as appropriate. If the menu item should be available to user roles of either type, leave this drop-down set to Select. |
Version Type | For future development. Does not currently impact the functionality of PrismHR. |
5. | Click Save. |
SSO Forms
You can enter single sign-on information in the SSO Forms panel if the custom process is for something defined in SSO Services.
To access this form:
1. | Click Back Office. |
2. | From System|Change, select System Parameters. |
3. | From the Actions menu, select Custom Process. |
4. | From SSO Forms, select SSO Service. |
5. | Leave the SSO Action field blank for tandem SSO. Only enter an SSO Action if you know the specific value that should go in this field for a legacy SSO service. |
6. | Select the appropriate option from Use SSO Init: |
• | SSO: Use the legacy SSO code. This is used only for products developed a while ago. |
• | Tandem SSO: Use the SSO methods in the PrismHR Services API. This is the typical selection. |
7. | External App indicates whether this was defined as an external application in SSO Services. You cannot edit it here. |
8. | Click Save. |
