COVID-19 Credit Tracking Report

Use the COVID-19 Credit Tracking Report to view accrued tax credits, refunds or deferrals associated with COVID-19 paid leave.

To access this form, click Reports. Under Operations|Report, click COVID-19 Credit Tracking Report.

To generate the COVID-19 Credit Tracking Report:

1. Complete the following fields:

Field Name

Description

Start Pay Date This field is optional. If you want to limit your report to a specific pay date range, enter the starting pay date here.
End Pay Date This field is optional. However, if you have entered the starting pay date above, then enter the ending pay date here.

Report Type

Select the type of report you want to generate from the following options:

Employee Report
Client Summary (Client Totals Only)

Break Out 941 Liability Total

This field is optional. Select this option if you want to include the break out of the 941 Liability Total in your report.

Breakout Tax Credits Accrued Total

This field is optional. Select this option if you want to include the break out of the total for the Tax Credits Accrued under tax deduction codes 00-80 to 00-85 in your report. In the report parameters, this column is further divided into totals for each tax deduction code, as well as the FMLA Medicare, FMLA Healthcare, Sick Leave Medicare, and Sick Leave Healthcare components.

Include Only Clients with Credits or Deferrals

This field is optional. Select this option if you want to only include clients with credits of deferrals in your report, which is the employer-side Social Security Tax Deferred plus Tax Credits Accrued.

Include Refunds

This field is optional. You can only select this option for the Client Summary (Client Totals Only) Report. Select this option if you want to only include those clients with refunds in your report.

Client Ids

This field is optional. If you want to limit your report to specific clients only, you can enter the Client IDs here or click the Client Ids hyperlink and select them from the Client Master Search selector.

2. Click Run to generate the selected report with the selected parameters on screen. If you are running this report for all employees, it might take a while for the system to complete.
3. Click Close to close this form at any time.

Report Columns

This report is organized by clients, then by employers, then by employees. For each employee, the report displays:

Report Column

Description

Total 941 Liability

Liability associated with tax deduction codes 00-10, 00-11, 00-12, 00-15, and 00-16.

 

If you select Break Out 941 Liability Total in the report parameters, this column is further divided into totals for the above tax deduction codes (income tax, employer-side Medicare tax, employee-side Medicare tax, employer-side Social Security tax, and employee-side Social Security tax).

Employer Social Security Tax Deferred

The employer-side Social Security tax liability that accrued between the dates specified in the Cares Act Employer Social Security Deferral table and between the dates specified in the report setup parameters.

Tax Credits Accrued

Tax credits accrued under tax deduction codes 00-80 to 00-85.

 

If you select Break Out Tax Credits Accrued Total in the report parameters, this column is further divided into totals for each tax deduction code, as well as the FMLA Medicare, FMLA Healthcare, Sick Leave Medicare, and Sick Leave Healthcare components.

Total Tax Credits and Deferrals

Employer-side Social Security Tax Deferred plus Tax Credits Accrued.

Net Current 941 Liability

Total 941 Liability minus Total Tax Credits and Deferrals.

The report also displays client totals for each of these values.

Refund columns

If you select Include Refund, the report includes these columns:

Rebate Column

Description

Credit Refund

Total credit rebates.

Form 7200

COVID credits rebated under Form 7200.

Defer Refund

Refunded employer-side Social Security taxes.

UnRefund SS

Intended Social Security tax deferrals MINUS the actual rebate.

UnRefund CR

Total credits minus Credit Refunds and Form 7200 Refunds.

Pending

Future-dated bill pending items. This total displays at the top of the COVID-19 Refunds form.
